This project delivered fully remodeled common-area restrooms at 400 Madison Avenue, Manhattan. The new restrooms combine a modern black-and-white design language with full accessibility compliance, using stacked ceramic wall tile, dark quartz vanities, and matte black plumbing fixtures.

This project delivered fully remodeled common-area restrooms at 400 Madison Avenue, Manhattan. The new restrooms combine a modern black-and-white design language with full accessibility compliance, using stacked ceramic wall tile, dark quartz vanities, and matte black plumbing fixtures.
The photographs show the completed rooms: a multi-user restroom with a dark quartz trough vanity, three undermount sinks and matte black faucets beneath a large pill-shaped mirror; wall-hung toilets and a urinal with exposed matte black flush valves; and an accessible roll-in shower with grab bars, a handheld shower set, and built-in wood-look millwork shelving.
Scope of Work
- Complete demolition of the existing restrooms, including removal of fixtures, partitions, and finishes.
- New plumbing rough-ins and installation of wall-hung toilets and urinals with concealed carriers and exposed matte black flush valves.
- Custom dark quartz vanity counters with three undermount sinks and matte black sensor-style faucets.
- Large custom pill-shaped framed mirror and recessed paper towel / waste units.
- New wall finishes in vertical stacked ceramic tile with white walls above, and large-format gray floor tile.
- Construction of an ADA-compliant roll-in shower with matte black grab bars, rain shower head, sliding-rail handheld shower, recessed niche, mosaic floor with linear drain, and a fold-up seat area.
- Built-in wood-look millwork with open shelving and concealed storage at the shower/changing area.
- New suspended ceilings with recessed LED lighting, exhaust ventilation, and updated electrical devices.
- ADA-compliant door hardware, closers, and accessories throughout.
